Pakistan Kidney Institute (PKI) Successfully Conducts 8th Free Urology and Medical Camp in Skardu. The Pakistan Kidney Institute (PKI), in collaboration with the Marafi Foundation, successfully organized its 8th Free Urology and Medical Camp in Skardu from August 18 to August 25, 2024. The initiative underscored PKI’s commitment to providing essential healthcare services to underserved communities. Under the leadership of Prof. Saeed Akhter, President of PKI and Consultant Urologist & Transplant Surgeon, the camp was staffed by a distinguished team of experts including Dr. Masooma Saeed, Consultant Anesthesiologist, Dr. Ijaz Hussain, Consultant Paediatric Urologist; Dr. Assad Ur Rehman, Consultant Urologist; and Dr. Abdul Rahim, Consultant Urologist. Over the course of the seven-day camp, a total of 335 patients received treatment in the outpatient department (OPD) for a range of urological conditions. Additionally, 85 surgical procedures were performed, addressing complex and urgent urological needs. The success of this camp highlights PKI’s ongoing dedication to improving urological health and providing critical medical services to those in need, particularly in remote and underserved areas.
