14-02-2023: Prof. Saeed Akhter, President PKI chaired a meeting with PKI BOG Members & Business Community at PAF Hospital Islamabad to sought suggestions and inputs to execute PKI Earthquake drive in Türkiye & Syria. Prof. Saeed Akhter briefed the BOG members and Business Community that PKI always for-fronted in past natural calamities in Pakistan & abroad. Once again PKI came forward to help Brethren Türkiye & Syria hit by a massive 7.8 magnitude earthquake on February 6th 2023. Thousands are expected to have lost their lives, with countless more injured. Entire buildings collapsed and flattened, leaving hundreds of thousands displaced outside in the snow and cold. BOG members & Business Community endorsed the steps taken by PKI and showed their full support in this humantarian mission.

Date: 27-12-2022: PKI distributed another winterized package for flood affectees in Rajanpur, South Punjab on 26 & 27 december 2022. Winterized Package includes 1000 Quilts, 1000 Bedspreads, 1000 Pillows, 1000 Sweaters, 1000 Warm Caps, 1000 Warm Shawls, 1000 Warm Khais & 257 Tents.

Areeba Chaudhary, A young girl 16 years of age presented with flank pain for 2 years and diagnosed as PUJ obstruction. She underwent successful Pyeloplasty by PKI Team.

PKI received Tax Exemption Certificate from Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Govt. of Pakistan.

IMANA (Islamic Medical Association of North America) has generously donated a large number of medical supplies for Flood victims. Utilizing these supplies, PKI in collaboration with Customs Healthcare Society organized a Medical & Relief Camp in Nowshera, KPK on Dec 08, 2022. Total 426 patients were treated in a single day.

PKI Team distributed 1000 winter packages for flood affectees in Rajanpur, South Punjab on account of PKI flood relief drive 2022. Each Package includes Blanket, Bedspread, Pillow and warm shawl.

As a part of fulfilling the responsibility PKI has always supported its trainees, not only in research and publication, but also abstract presentations at national and international levels. In pursuit of these goals, PKI has recently sponsored the registrars and team at the Annual Urology conference (UROCON 2022) at Pearl Continental Hotel Lahore. The whole team participated, including Prof. Saeed Akhter as a lead and mentor. Following Papers were presented by PKI Team at the conference: Prof. Saeed Akhter: Life threatening, Cytokine release syndrome (CRS) with Anti Thymocyte Globin (ATG) and its management. PKI dispatched cartons of Medicines & Surgical Supplies to different Dispensaries of Customs Healthcare Society Trust in Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Mardan of KPK, Noor Jamali, Khairpur Miras of Sindh and Al-Khidmat Razi Islamabad. IMANA (Islamic Medical Association of North America) donated these supplies to Pakistan Kidney Institute.
