Pakistan kidney institute organized an event in Pakistan air-force hospital Islamabad dated august 29, 2022 to create awareness and to mobilize the public to help their fellow countrymen who are suffering terribly from the worst floods of Pakistan since its inception. Event was attended by business community, Pakistan air-force hospital administration, medical faculty & PKI team.

Prof. Saeed Akhter gave a presentation about his recent visit of Rajanpur, South Punjab which is one of the worst hit district from recent floods. He described that flood has affected a large number of people and completely devastated agricultural land and drowned livestock. People including, pregnant women & children are walking in waist high water from 8 to 10 miles towards roads for some hope in their eyes to get food to eat and water to drink. He emphasized on need of quick and prompt actions to help the ailing humanity before it gets too late. He also met with Deputy Commissioner Rajanpur of Local Administration and different stakeholders in his visit. Prof. Saeed Akhter said that PKI, Pakistan Air-Force & APPNA (Association of Physicians of Pakistani Descent of North America) are starting the relief mission in Rajanpur aiming providing food, Shelter and Medication to affected population. He requested all to join hands in this noble mission with Pakistan Kidney Institute. Question/Answers session was also part of the event. Business community pledged to donate and showed their full support for this noble cause.
