PKLI HOLDS SESSION AT ALLIANCE FRANÇAISE TO RAISE HEPATITIS AWARENESS

Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute & Research Center (PKLI)’s Marketing Department teamed up with Alliance Française de Lahore (AF) to conduct a Hepatitis awareness session within AF’s premises on July 31, 2018.

Representative of French Embassy Pakistan and Director of Alliance Française Lahore, Stéphane Gaillard, welcomed PKLI’s team warmly and participated in the session. Other members of AF team and People from the community joined in this interactive session.

Dr. Abdul Nadir, Chairman Gastroenterology/Hepatology at PKLI, and Dr. Ammara Naveed conducted the session, throwing light on symptoms, causes, prevention, screening, vaccination and treatment of viral Hepatitis. PKLI team also distributed informative and educational materials about Hepatitis among the audience, who appreciated the hospital’s efforts to raise awareness in the society about the rampant disease.

PKLI has served more than 500,000 patient visits for Hepatitis relief under its Hepatitis Prevention and Treatment Program since the launch of the program in March 2017. Currently, about 3,000 patients are daily being seen and provided with screening, vaccination and treatment completely free of charge at the 24 clinics in different districts.

On this occasion, Stéphane Gaillard ensured that AF will keep supporting PKLI in the noble cause of serving the ailing humanity.
