PKLI trains staff on emergency evacuation in case of fire.

Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute and Research Center organized staff training on emergency evacuation in case of fire and emergency management system to ensure that the hospital meets all required health and safety standards.
The training was delivered by Mr. Mudassir Nawaz, Junior Instructor Directorate General Civil Defence, Islamabad, and Mr. Imran Ali, Demonstrator Federal Civil Defence Training School, Lahore, in coordination with PKLI’s Administration Department and Rescue Team from July 9 to 16, 2018.
The training covered the areas of identification the potential fire hazards and the people at the top risk i.e. the disabled, elderly and children, and emergency evacuation in case of fire or earthquake.
The trainers conducted fire and evacuation drills to train the hospital staff on how to react to an emergency situation and evacuate everyone in the event of a real fire emergency. PKLI staff members enthusiastically participated in the fire drill activities to be more efficient and well-practiced in using the building evacuation plan.
