Dear all

In this dire and desperate hour of need, we plan to visit with a medical relief mission in about 2 weeks after acute rescue and relief operation is over. Please collect funds individually, donate us and be prepared to volunteer your services for one week mission.

I am in touch with people on Syrian side as well Turkish side on the ground. At this time they only need supplies, heavy winter clothing and meds, not doctors. They anticipate in two weeks, there will be dire need of doctors, as thousands of injured will need care.

May Allah have mercy on us.

Pakistan is a poor country with 60.3% of population living under $2 a day. We live in a country where even basic health facilities are lacking. Government hospitals are overburdened and inefficient. Pakistan is located on the stone belt with high incidence of Kidney stones. It is unfortunate that this highly reversible cause of kidney injury still accounts 8-10% of the CKD patients in Pakistan mainly due to late treatment compared to only 2% in USA. Kidney and Bladder cancer are spreading at an alarming rate in Pakistan, Because of lack of awareness, pollution and contamination of food and water. Most of these patients present late for treatment at an incurable stage. Pakistan ranks eight in the list of countries with a high rate of kidney diseases, with 17 million people suffering from such diseases. The overall Chronic Kidney Disease prevalence among Pakistani adults was 21.2%. According to high quality studies, highest CKD prevalence in Pakistan was reported as 29.9%. According to World Bank statistics, there are only 0.8 physician, 0.6 nurses, 0.6 hospital bed for every 1000 Pakistanis. Poverty itself is a great trial from ALLAH SWT, which becomes even tougher one combined with illness and the lack of resources to treat it. Pakistan Kidney institute is providing state-of-the-art healthcare & clinical care, under one roof to financially underprivileged patients irrespective of race, religion or color. Let us fight the Kidney diseases together.
